This usually means more fun in the sun for my children, family vacations and so many adventures awaiting us. It also means time to get bikini ready.
There aren’t enough words I can say about working out and eating right. That is the ONLY way you can ensure a healthy body and get the results you want. However, sometimes even the healthy food we eat can cause bloating/gas, etc. I know TMI (too much information), but we all deal with it.
While struggling with my tummy issues, I found the below three drinks to be extremely helpful. Not only did it help reduce my bloating but I also felt energized and ready for the day.
It’s a bit pricey and has been getting negative reviews lately due to the Kardashian family’s drama but, I still love it. 100% natural herbal ingredients and comes in two bags- Activate-for your daily use will help reduce bloating, boost your energy and support your metabolism which gets your digestion system ready to start the day on a positive note.
The second bag- Cleanse is meant to cleanse your system, support digestion and also reduce bloating.
This is the only detox tea I’ve ever had that did not have me running to the bathroom every so often. Your first order will be a 2 or 4week supply. Afterwards, if you decide to subscribe (which I highly recommend you do), you will receive Cleanse every three months.
The old saying of “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” also goes for apple cider vinegar.
Drinking a glass of warm water with two tablespoons of ACV will help boost your body’s iron intake which will ultimately help burn more energy. The taste can be sour and for that, feel free to mix in a teaspoon of raw honey.
It also helps with digestion issues which is why most people drink a few teaspoons mixed with water to help their food digest smoothly on a regular basis.
I typically mix my ACV and warm water in an 8 oz cup early morning before getting my workout done.
Lemon, ginger, and cucumbers have so many benefits individually, so imagine what they can do combined.
Lemons help detox your system and have vitamin C which adds a boost to your immune system. Not to mention it also helps the ginger and cucumbers from changing color. The amount of lemon added to your drink will vary on the pitcher size.
Ginger helps our digestion system by settling our stomach and helping with nausea (this is why most people drink ginger-ale after a big meal or when they feel like throwing up), and it also reduces bloating. WIN/WIN
My favorite reason for adding ginger is that it gives my water a spicy kick and goes amazing with the lemon and mint.
Cucumbers bring a refreshing feel to your drink and are full of potassium which is a vital nutrient for great health. They also serve as an anti-inflammatory.
Mint is an anti- inflammatory that relieves nausea, eliminates gas, prevents stomach acid, aids in digestion and helps settle your stomach. It also adds some sweetness without the sugar to your water.
Once all the ingredients are prepped and mixed together, place your water in the fridge for an hour which will help the ingredients infuse and keep it chilled.
BONUS — This will help you reach your goal of drinking more water (we are supposed to drink 50% of our weight in ounces a day).
As always I’d love to hear from you!
Yours,
